On 18th December 2009, a highly
anticipated debate centred on the true mission of Prophet Jesus (peace
be upon him) was organised by members of Islam4UK as a challenge to all
Jews and in particular Christians in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Over the past few weeks we have been
inundated with support from the Muslim community and have furthermore
received requests from Christians as well as other non-Muslims to
attend this unique debate.
Unfortunately, after careful
consultation (shoora), it has come to our attention that all applicants
who have forwarded their interest for participating in this debate do
not meet the calibre that we feel would be appropriate for the topic
and audience.
We have furthermore received no
response from representatives of the Church, to whom ultimately this
debate was directed to and as a result, have decided to postpone this
invitation until suitable candidates come forward to defend the
Christian doctrine and its association with Prophet Jesus.
We continue to call out to all
Christians in the United Kingdom and abroad, to come forward and engage
in a fruitful debate on the true message of Jesus and to furthermore
reflect on the following three questions which are paramount to the
debate:
1. Is the message of Jesus pro-secular democracy or pro total implementation of divine law within society
2. Did Jesus struggle verbally and physically against the tyrants of his time, or did he turn the other cheek?
3. Would Jesus stand with the oppressed people in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine or with the oppressive occupiers?
If you would like to participate in a debate revolving around these questions please call:

Would Mohamed stand with the oppressed or with the oppressive, depends which one is the muslims, if neither then he wouldn't care about either
